John Estes Farwell, 55, a farmer with $3,000 real estate and $1,072 personal estate; and

living at Bethel, Oxford County, Maine.⁴
Harriet died on September 2, 1875 at age 60.⁵
She was buried in Elm Vale Cemetery, Waterford, Oxford County, Maine.⁵

living at Waterford, Oxford County, Maine.³
The census of 1860 shows: Lieut. Joseph Hale, 63, a shoemaker with $1200 real estate and $500 personal estate; and Jeanette Hale, 58;
living at Waterford, Oxford County, Maine.⁴
The census of 1870 shows: Lieut. Joseph Hale, 73, a shoemaker with $2,000 real estate and $400 personal estate; and Janette Hale, 68, housekeeper;
living at Lovell P.O., Waterford, Oxford County, Maine.
Also in the family was Hannah B. Howe, 68, housekeeper from Massachusetts.⁵
The census of 1880 shows: Lieut. Joseph Hale, a shoemaker and farmer; and Jeanette Hale
living at Waterford, Oxford County, Maine.
Also in the household was a boarder, Hannah B. Howe, 78, from Massachusetts.⁶
Janet died on March 23, 1884 in Waterford, Oxford County, Maine, at age 80.
She was buried in Elm Vale Cemetery, Waterford, Oxford County, Maine.
