- Annie married Irving Andrew J. Colby, son of Samuel Colby and Louisa A. Phillips, in 1898 or 1899.2
- The census of 1900 shows: Irvin A. J. Colby, 55, a day laborer; and Annie W. Hunter, 26, a housekeeper;
living at East Braintree, Massachusetts.
Also there was Annie's son, Norman M. Hunter, age 4. They were boarders in the home of Harriet C. Clark, a commercial traveler. (The Boston 1900 City Directory also says: "Colby, Irving A. J., removed to Braintree."3
