  • Mercy Bangs was born on January 7, 1682 in Eastham, Massachusetts, son of Capt. Jonathan and Mary (Mayo) Bangs.2
  • Mercy married Thomas Hinckley, son of Samuel Hinckley and Sarah Pope, about 1705.3
  • Administration on her late husband's estate was granted October 4, 1710 to "Marcey Hinckley of Harwich in sd County widow Relict of Thomas Hinckley late of sd Harwich now deceased."3
  • Mercy Bangs was admitted to the church in at Brewster on April 22, 1711; admitted.2
  • Mercy married on October 5, 1715 in Harwich, Massachusetts, Joseph Cole of Eastham, born there 11 Jun 1677, son of John and Ruth (Snow) Cole, and widower of Elizabeth Cobb. They had three children born at Eastham 1716-1721: Mercy, Joseph, and Mary Cole.2
  • Mercy Hinckley owned the covenant at Harwich Church September 24, 1732 and the two eldest children were baptized there the same day.4
  • Mercy died before November 25, 1747 at which time Joseph Cole married third at Eastham, Rebecca (Young) Harding. Joseph left a will dated 25 Feb 1764, proved 12 Mar 1766, mentioning wife Rebecca and his children.5
