  • Jane died on January 5, 1751 at age 33. The inscription on her tombstone, in the oldest cemetery of Hampton Falls, reads: "Here lies buried the body of Mrs. Jean Swett, Late wife of Capt. Jonathan Swett, who departed this life January 5th, 1751, in the 33rd year of her age."1
