Thomas Paine of Milford, Conn. was born perhaps 1590. He is said elsewhere to have come from Devon, and the discovery can be confirmed as certain since Thomas Sanford, Junior (1644-1695) later married his cousin Elizabeth Paine.¹

Rev. Thomas Paine of Weymouth was born on April 9, 1695 in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, son of James and Bethia (Thacher) Paine.¹
He was graduated in 1717 from Harvard College, A.B., A.M.¹
On August 19, 1719, Rev. Thomas Paine of Weymouth was ordained at Weymouth, Massachusetts.¹
Thomas married Eunice Treat, daughter of Rev. Samuel Treat and Abigail Willard, in 1721.
Thomas died on May 31, 1757 in Quincy, Massachusetts, at age 62.¹

(The Margery, Beatrix & Agnes of whom he calls sisters, in his will in all probabilty are sister-in-laws as his father Richard Warren only names one daughter, Alice, in his will of 1557, meaning that if the three so named were blood sisters, they in all probability died before 1557 and would not be alive in 1572 when this Willilams will was made!
We know Williams brother Richards wife is Beatrice. William has a brother Nicholas and a brother Henry and the two remaining sisters are no doubt wives of these two brothrs-however, no proof of this assumption has been found);.

Hannah married Luther Colby, son of Levi Colby and Dolly Green Davis, on February 8, 1853 in Merrimack, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.
The census of June, 1880 shows: Luther Colby, Luther was a railroad section master. William was a hardware clerk. Also in the household were Charles Kennison, 25, and Fred Kennison, 27, both chiropedists from New Hampshire; and Maria Kennison, 23 from Maine; and Hannah Colby listed with William Colby, Ella Colby, Fannie S. Colby and Florence B. Colby
living at Somerville, Massachusetts.¹
Hannah died on January 4, 1902 in Somerville, Massachusetts, at age 75.
