Margaret married Clarence Hale, son of James Sullivan Hale and Betsey Staples, on March 11, 1880 in Portland, Cumberland County, Maine, by E. Y. Hincks, clergyman of Portland. (int. 4 Mar 1880.)¹
The census of June, 1880 shows: Clarence Hale, a lawyer; and Margaret J. Hale
living at Portland, Cumberland County, Maine.
They had a servant, Mary Thompson, 38.²
