William Tenney1

b. February 22, 1806
  • William Tenney was born on February 22, 1806.1
  • He was the son of Richard Tenney and Ruth Ingalls.1
  • In refence to his brother, David, the Perley genealogy says "Upon the death of his brother William, he became sole manager of the jewelry store of that day in New York City, who was of the 'Astor House Family,' of which Daniel Webster was a member, who made frequent gifts to his native town—one 'a fine bronze statue of Washington.'" Oddly this book makes no mention of the date of death of his William, nor any mention of Willam's affilliation with this firm.1
