West married Mary M. Ordway, daughter of John Ordway and Aurilla Elliot, on September 24, 1873. They were third cousins, once removed.³
The census of 1880 shows: West Upton, West was a farmer; and Mary M. Upton
living at Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.⁴
The census of 1900 shows: West Upton, 47, a farmer; and Mary M. Upton, wife, 46; listed with Aurilla Ordway
living at Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.
