His residence was shown as 111 N. Main, Franklin, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, and his next-of-kin was Hattie Colby.⁵
The census of 1920 shows: Orren C. Colby, 46, railway express agent; and Gene F. Colby, mother, 70, housekeeper for her son; listed with Raymon A. Colby and Harold S. Colby
living at Franklin, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.⁶
Orren married Clara M. Houghton on January 14, 1921 in Franklin, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, as his second wife, and her second husband. He was an express agent and she was a needle maker. They were married by George A. Cole.⁷
The Concord City Directory from 1922 to 1924 lists:

The census of 1930 shows: Orren E. Colby, 55, express agent for the railroad; and Clara M. Colby, wife, 34, music teacher;
