Benjamin married Caroline Elizabeth Chaplin, daughter of Luther Chaplin and Elizabeth Conant, on August 6, 1850. They were 5th cousins once removed.¹
Benjamin Scott Dodge was engaged in a proprietary medicine trade, and proprietor of Atwood's Jaundice Cure, but ultimately disposed of his interest and returned to his farm.⁴
Benjamin married Georgiana Bickford after October 9, 1875 as his second wife, and her second husband.⁵

I have no evidence yet that Ichabod is a son of David, however, it appears that David's family was the only Dodge family in Claremont, he would have been the correct age, and David's grandson said it was a "large family."
