- About 1938, Verna E. Alexander moved to Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, where she worked as a school bus driver for more than 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and reading. She was a member of the Pansy Rebekah Lodge No. 90 of Hooksett and the Bow Young at Heart Club for many years.1
- Verna married Warren R. "Mike" Alexander, son of Burt Fellows Alexander and Eva Noyes, in 1938.2
