  • Ruth Foster was born on August 30, 1781.1
  • She was the daughter of Philemon Foster and Ruth Perley.1
  • Ruth Foster and William Conant Jr., Esq. published their marriage intention on November 13, 1801, and settled in Linebrook Parish, Ipswich, Massachusetts.1
  • Ruth Foster was at one time the only member of the local church. Between 1816 and 1824, she wrote many religious letters to her neighbors and others, and in 1831 published a sixty-page pamphlet of them.2
