  • Enoch Hale was born on February 24, 1779 in Rindge, Cheshire County, New Hampshire.1
  • He was the son of Enoch Hale and Abigail Stanley.1
  • Enoch Hale moved to Walpole, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, in 1784 with Enoch Hale and Abigail Stanley.2
  • Enoch married Bathsheba Stone.1
  • Enoch died in 1824 in Clarendon, Rutland County, Vermont. Robert Safford Hale wrote: "Enoch was an upright and conscientious man, but lacking in energy, and his life was not a successful one by any worldly standard. He was at one time possessed of a fair property, probably by inheritance from his father, but lost it through the chicanery of others, and by his own lack of shrewdness and management, without any evil or immoral habits on his own part. The daughters were estimable and excellent women, of whom Mrs. Marsh speaks in terms of high praise as to the three whom she knew - Sophia, Marcia and Lucia."3
