She was the daughter of Col. Simeon Cary and Mary Howard.
Rhoda Cary was baptized on February 16, 1772 in the Fourth Church of Christ in Bridgewater, now the First Congregational Church, Brockton, Massachusetts.³
She married Richard Wild on December 4, 1794 in the Fourth Church of Christ in Bridgewater, now the Brockton, Massachusetts. (Intention not recorded.) She was his second wife.⁴
Rhoda died on November 21, 1840 at age 68.⁵
She and Richard Wild were buried in Seth Pratt Cemetery, Easton, Massachusetts, along with Richard Thayer Wild.⁵

The census of 1850 shows: Nathan Hayward, 58, a farmer with $25,000 real estate; and Rhoda Hayward, 55; listed with Simion F. Hayward
living at North Bridgewater (now Brockton), Massachusetts.
Also living there were Nathan Leach, 44, a laborer; and Margaret Allen, 13, from Ireland.⁵
Rhoda died on November 9, 1858 or September 20, 1862.^6,7
