• Mary Amy Dow was born perhaps 1818 daughter of Abraham and Juliett (Bradish) Dow.¹
• Mary married Jonathan Eastman, son of Stephen Eastman and Rachel Clement, on January 4, 1843 in Sutton, Caledonia County, Vermont.

• The census of 1860 shows: Johnathan Eastman, 40, a farmer with $3500 real estate and $1000 personal estate; and Mary A. Eastman, 35; listed with Rachel Eastman, Charles Eastman, Hiram Eastman and Stephen Eastman
  living at Sutton, Caledonia County, Vermont.
  Also living there was Orin C. Dow, 17, a farm laborer and attending school.³
