  • John Ayers was born on February 27, 1732.1
  • He was the son of Peter Ayers and Lydia Perley.1
  • John died on January 3, 1736/37 at age 4, during the prevalence of a terrible "pestilential distemper" of which, Rev. John Brown, minister then in the place, wrote, "over 200 children under ten vears of age died, in Haverhill alone, between Jan. 1, 1736, and Dec. 31, 1737."1

  • He was the son of Peter Ayers and Lydia Perley.1
  • Perley married Sarah Mitchell "13 Nov 17—."1
  • Perley Ayers was a tanner at Haverhill, Massachusetts.1
  • Perley married Lois Stevens of Haverhill on December 26, 1776.1
  • Perley died in April, 1781 at age 48. The probate inventory of his estate aggregated £1000. He owned land in Haverhill, Methuen and Salem, N. H. His will is dated 27 Mar 1781, was proved 7th of the following month and specifies:—"Things brought by his first wife, things made in the house since she came; things brought by his second wife, things made in the house since she came."1
