• Arthur died on March 20, 1906 in Naval Hospital, San Juan, Puerto Rico, at age 26, of typhoid fever.
  
  Arthur Nye Norwood was a Hospital Apprentice for the United States Navy.
  
  He was originally buried in Section A, Grave 199 of Old Post Cemetery in San Juan, Puerto Rico on December 12, 1906. On March 31, 1907 he was removed from that cemetery and buried in Section A, Grave 126 of Fort Brooke Military Cemetery in Santurce, Puerto Rico. On January 13, 1960 he was once again transferred to his final resting place, the Puerto Rico National Cemetery in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.^2,3
