Abi Platt was born on July 25, 1793 in Connecticut, daughter of Levi and Esther (Alvord) Platt of Danbury.¹
Abi married Hiram Roys, son of James Roys and Olive Hinman, on January 7, 1850 in Norfolk, Connecticut. They were married by Rev. Frederick Marsh, of the Congregational Church.²
The census of 1850 shows: Hiram Roys, 55, a farmer; and Abi Roys, 57; listed with Lorenzo Roys, Helen M. Roys and Ella F. Roys
living at Norfolk, Connecticut.
Also living there was Thomas Brooks, 10, attending school.³
The census of 1860 shows: Hiram Royes, 65, a farmer with $3,500 real estate and $1,000 personal estate; and Alvira P. Royes, 66, with $600 personal estate;
living at Norfolk, Connecticut.⁴
The census of 1870 shows: Hiram Roys, age 75, with $1500 personal estate; and Abbie P. Roys, age 71, a shoemaker;
living at Winchester, Connecticut.⁵
The census of 1880 shows: Abi P. Roys, aunt, 86;
living at Winchester, Connecticut.
She was living in the family of Edwin S. and Elizabeth Platt.⁶
Abi died on January 11, 1883 in Connecticut at age 89.⁷
