- William Cundiff and Jessie Myrtle Morris were divorced between 1918 and 1926 The following is notated in a GEDCOM file named STEWA.GED:
"Mother left him because Grandmother hated him with a passion. She went back home to Elizabeth. She taught in Upsher County where she met Oscar Hinkle." - William Cundiff was a coal miner for Peerless Coal Co.
- William died on January 17, 1941 in Welch, McDowell County, West Virginia, at age 44.

- Major Garwood Hinman Cunningham moved to Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York, where he remained several years as keeper of the principal hotel there. In the war of 1812, he was connected with the American army, near Canada, where he was taken sick and died.3
