- He was graduated in 1846 from Trinity College, and was a tutor in Geneva, and from 1850 to 1859 was rector of several parishes in Western New York. He was rector of St. Paul's Windsor, Vt., from 1859 to 1872 , president of Norwich University 1872 to 1875, and rector of Christ Church, Andover, Mass 1875 to 1884.1
- Malcolm married Sarah Elizabeth Hale, daughter of Rev. Benjamin Hale D.D. and Mary Caroline King, on October 14, 1851.1
