Jabez Dorman was born on November 9, 1678 in Topsfield, Massachusetts, son of Dea. Thomas and Judith (Wood) Dorman.¹
Jabez married Hephzibah Perley, daughter of Samuel Perley and Ruth Trumble, on May 31, 1709.¹
Jabez married on August 16, 1716 "Abial" (Abigail?), and had a son, Jabez, born 9 Jul 1717. In the spring of 1718 they removed from town.¹

Perley Dorman¹

Relationship: 4th cousin 6 times removed of Steven George Levine

Perley Dorman was born on May 7, 1785.²
He was the son of Timothy Dorman and Deborah Perley.¹
Perley Dorman was six feet tall, a man of wonderful activity, and a natural arithmetician. It is related that he would add double columns of figures with accuracy and more rapidly than others could single columns. He worked for John Perley , his third cousin once removed, as clerk, and was the marvel of the customers the country round, by the rapidity with which he would figure the totals of bills of many items. As clerk he excelled; he was gentlemanly, honest, accurate and active.²
So hed signed a receipt at his store in Danvers in 1819.
Perley married Mehitable Symonds, daughter of Joseph Symonds of Boxford and Susannah Hale, on February 7, 1809. They were fourth cousin.²
Perley died on July 20, 1858 at age 73 of consumption.²

Philip Eugene Dorman was born on January 20, 1876 in Georgetown, Massachusetts.¹
He was the son of William Barnes Dorman and Mary Helen Spiller.¹
Philip died about August, 1890 at the age of fourteen years and eight months. He was known far and wide as the "boy astrologer." He was certainly far beyond his years in the occult science. He was a wonder to the professors at Harvard College. Among his correspondents were Dr. Franz Hartmann of Vienna and Prof. Camille Flammarion, the distinguished French astronomer.¹
