Seth Meacham1

  • Seth Meacham was born on April 5, 1751 in Norwich, Connecticut.1
  • He was the son of Samuel Meacham and Bethiah Pease.1
  • Seth married Lois Prindle and had five children.2
  • He was a Tory at the time of the Revolutionary War, and for being too free in the expression of his sentiments, once received a coat of tar and feathers administered by the Whigs. He served as a Corporal in Capt. Foot's Company at Peekskill, N.Y., from March 29 to May 20, 1777.2
