  • Capt. Moses Sewall was born on July 22, 1733 in York, York County, Maine,

    Moses Sewall enlisted, 1775; commissioned Captain, June 25, 1776. He was in the Battle of Bunker Hill, spent the winter of 1775-76 in Camp at Boston, and served under General Washington at Harlem and White Plains.1
  • Moses married Miriam Stone, daughter of Lieut. Benjamin Stone and Abigail Swett, in 1757.2
  • Moses died in June, 1816 in York, Maine, at age 82.1
