• The census of 1880 shows: Abram E. Allen, Abraham Allen, 38, a carpenter from Canada, is listed with wife, Mary Allen, 34, born in Canada, and daughter Mary Allen, 4, born in Michigan. I am unable to reconcile this information with the family as I have listed;
  living at Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan.⁴
