Capt. William Leech was born on March 22, 1758 in Beverly, Massachusetts, son of Nathan and Anna Leech.²
William married Ruth Batchelder, daughter of Lieut. Jonathan Batchelder and Hepsebeth Conant, on January 4, 1795 in Beverly, Massachusetts.¹
William died on December 9, 1838 at age 80, of decay. "President of Beverly Bank and of Essex Bridge."³
