  • He was the son of Moses W. Woodbury and Susan S. Brown.2
  • About 1865 Moses H. Woodbury and Daniel Levi Woodbury served in the War of the Rebellion, co. B, 1st Regiment, Volunteer Heavy Artillery.

    Company "A" organized as 1st Company New Hampshire Heavy Artillery and mustered in July 22, 1863. Stationed at Fort Constitution till May 6, 1864. Company "B" organized as 2nd Company New Hampshire Heavy Artillery and mustered in September 17, 1863. Stationed at Fort McClary, Kittery Point, till May 6, 1864. These 2 Companies ordered to Washington, D. C., May 6, 1864. Attached to Augur's Command, Defences of Washington, 22nd Corps, and assigned to duty in the Defences of Washington, D. C. Company "A" at Forts Sloeum, Stevens, Totten, Sumner and Batteries Cameron, Parrott, Kendall nnd Vermont till November, 1864. Ordered to Portsmouth Harbor November 25, 1864. Company "B" at Forts Bunker Hill, Saratoga, Lincoln, Bayard, Gaines and Foote till February, 1865, when ordered to Portsmouth Harbor, N. H. Repulse of Early's attack on Washington July 11-12, 1864 (Cos. "A" and "B"). Companies "C," "D," "E," "F," "G," "H," "I," "K" and "L" organized from September 2 to October 17, 1864. Company "M" formed by assignment of 1st New Hampshire Battery, Volunteer Light Artillery, November 5, 1864, but remained detached as a Light Battery. Each Company ordered to Washington, D. C., as fast as organized, and duty in the Defences of that city till June, 1865. Regiment mustered out June 15, 1865. Recruits consolidated to 2 Companies and mustered out September 11, 1865.2
  • Moses H. Woodbury died of consumption on February 22, 1868 in Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, at age 28.3

NOTTINGHAM -- Patricia F. "Trish" Woodbury, 44, died April 15 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, after a sudden illness.

She was born in Concord, the daughter of L. Farnum and Esther (Huckins) Woodbury.

She graduated in 1977 from Concord High School, where she was a member of the marching and jazz bands. She attended Carleton College in Northfield, Minn., and earned a bachelor's degree in Greek and Latin and a master's degree in classical English from the University of New Hampshire.

Woodbury taught Latin at Oyster River High School and at UNH. She also worked in the Computing and Information Services Training Center. She worked as an academic counselor for the graduate school at UNH. She was a caregiver at the Great Bay School and Training Center in Newington for 20 years.

She played on the Black Roses rugby team in Concord and was a member of the New Hampshire Classical Association and the Classical Association of New England.

She enjoyed calligraphy, embroidery, photography and gardening and loved animals.

Survivors include her parents, of Epsom; a brother, Jon Woodbury of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; a sister, Mary Woodbury of Oak Harbor, Wash.; her longtime companion, Steve Molinari of Nottingham; and two nieces, a grandniece, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Church Street Chapel at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord.

Burial will be held privately at Short Falls Cemetery in Epsom.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the University of New Hampshire Foundation, in memory of Patricia F. Woodbury, 9 Edgewood Road, Durham 03824.

Bennett Funeral Home in Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
