Joseph Conant¹

• Joseph Conant was born on November 6, 1811.¹
• Joseph Conant was a farmer and shoemaker at Linebrook Parish, Ipswich, Massachusetts.¹
• Joseph married Lucy Hobbs Foster, daughter of Philemon Foster and Nabby Hobbs of Topsfield, on October 18, 1832, and had no children.¹
• Joseph died on October 20, 1885 at age 73. The local newspaper says of him: "He was a quiet man, a good, obliging, social and esteemed neighbor. In his manhood's prime he was identified with parish affairs, serving it in various capacities. He was one of the proprietors of the church edifice, and assisted very materially in its erection. His active life earned him a comfortable property, and his sobriety and kindness a good name."¹

• Josiah Conant was born on September 30, 1770. He settled in the northern part of Dudley, afterwards known as Tuft's Village, on a farm, and also owned a saw and grist mill, driven by the stream flowing from Baker's Pond. His house, of which an engraving is given, is supposed to have been built by his father.¹

• Levi married Eliza Fillebrown, daughter of Edward Fillebrown and Elizabeth Barrett, about May 3, 1837 in Boston, Massachusetts. The Marriage was reported in "The Columbian Centinel" of May 3, 1837.¹
• Levi died on April 17, 1873 He was employed at Cook & Conant.¹
• He was buried in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Massachusetts, along Honeysuckle Path, Lot 2199.²
