  • Sarah Pope was born about 1656, daughter of Thomas and Sarah (Jenny) Pope.1
  • Sarah married Samuel Hinckley, son of Gov. Thomas Hinckley and Mary Richards, on November 13, 1676 in Barnstable, Massachusetts.2
  • Samuel's widow remarried August 17, 1698 at Barnstable Thomas Huckins, a widower.1
  • Shortly thereafter , Thomas and Sarah Pope moved to Harwich, Massachusetts, with their respective children.1
  • The will of Sarah Pope, widow of Harwich, dated January 5, 1726/271
  • , proved July 5, 1727, mentioned "my three daughters Mary Bangs, Mercy Crosby, and Hannah Paine," "heirs of my son Thomas Hinkley, deceased," and sons Samuel Hinckley, "Shobal" Hinckley, Job Hinckley, Josiah Hinckley, and Elnathan hinckley. Her will also mentioned three granddaughters, Sarah Paine, Mary Bangs, and Sarah Bangs. Her son-in-law Joseph Paine was to be executor.1
