Sherman Baldwin was born perhaps 1798. He lived in Bloomfield, N. Y., and had a wife and three children. He died by putting the muzzle of a loaded gun to his mouth, and pulling the trigger with his foot.²
He was the son of Nathaniel Baldwin and Susan Sherman.¹
