Thomas Peabody1

  • Thomas Peabody was born on October 31, 1768.2
  • He was the son of Lt. John Peabody and Mary Perley.1
  • Thomas Peabody moved to Bridgton, Cumberland County, Maine, In the winter of 1783-4 with Lt. John Peabody and Mary Perley, which was then a newly settled town, and upon their desire to take up their church connection in order to assist in establishing a church at Bridgton the West Boxford church made this record, "voted to dismiss and recommend them as persons whose conduct while with us was agreeable to their profession."1
  • Thomas married Mary Reed.2
  • In March, 1799, Thomas Peabody moved to Gilead, Oxford County, Maine, then known as Peabody's Patent, where he lived a farmer's life.2
  • Thomas died on July 9, 1816 at age 47.2

  • William Peabody was born on March 3, 1646 in New Hampshire, son of Francis and Lydia Paybodie.1
  • William married on December 8, 1680 to Mary, daughter of Richard and Elizabeth (Greenleaf) Browne of Newbury. Mary died soon after.2
  • William married Hannah Hale, daughter of Thomas Hale and Mary Hutchinson, on August 14, 1684 in Boxford, Massachusetts.1
  • William died in March, 1699.2
