- Solomon died on July 24, 1719 at age 72. Solomon Prentice, Sen., left a large estate. His inventory by his widow Hepzibah, and Lis eldest son Solomon, Administrators, Aug. 20 1719, mentions rights in common, housing, orchard, land at Westfield, do. in Miles Ware Corner, do. in Lexington. Real estate, £851—total, £909 16s. 2d. John Dixon, Sam. Kidder, Ben. Goddard, Appraisers, Aug. 13 1719. Widow Hepzibah, her mark, Solomon Prentice and guardian, Henry Prentice and Mary Balch, Elizabeth P., her mark, Mary Bobbins, widow of his son Thomas P., and now wife of Nathaniel Bobbins of Charlestown, are all mentioned in an agreement of March 18 1719-20. His son Henry had the east half of the house his father Solomon, Sen., lived and died in. Henry's claim for four and a half years' services, due him, £60, to be in the " new house." By Solomon P., Sen's, will, it appears he had a daughter Mary, and C. J. F. Binney added her name to his children. A deposition of Solomon, Sen., is on record, Middlesex County Deeds, dated 14, 4 1672, M. 25, that he mowed several years on land of Richard Eeles, Watertown, Mass.6

- In 1726, Ben. Flagg of Worcester, deeds all his lands, &c., in the north part of Worcester, to Henry and Stephen Prentice, tenants in common.2
- In 1745 he was a subscriber in Boston to the Life of David Brainard. Dr. Nat. S. Prentiss says Stephen was uncle to his grandfather Jonas Prentice, and lived in Cambridge, and left Jonas a valuable farm in Cambridge, subject to the widow's alimony during her life, and believes Stephen had no children.3
- Stephen Prentice, "yeoman," Will, of Cambridge, March 19 1761, gives his wife Lydia property, and his pew in meeting house, first parish, reserving a seat for Jonas Prentice's wife. Gives his wife a horse to ride to meeting on. For preaching among the Indians that the late Mr. Brainard labored among, and to others, £10 13s. 4d; a legacy of £2 to the Rev. Thomas Prentice of Charlestown; £2 to Rev. Joshua Prentice of Holliston, and 1st vol. of Mr. Flavel's works. To Rev. Thomas Balch of Dedham, £2 13s. 4d., and 2d vol. of Flavel's works. To his brother Henry Prentice, his right to land in Worcester and Townsend. To Rev. Mr. Sprague of Medford; to Abraham Watson, Jr., and his wife Lucy—legacies. His negro Peter's services to be improved, and he to have a garden and some time to work it, for his faithful services. Gives his kinsman Jonas Prentice, all his real and personal estate. Wife Lydia, brother Henry P., kinsman Jonas P., and Abraham Watson, Jr., executors. Stephen Prentice, in Ben. Goddard's will 1712, is called brickmaker ; in James Smith's will, cordwainer, and owner of a house and land on Jones's Hill, Cambridge.4
