  • Hananiah Parker was born in 1638 in Lynn, Massachusetts. He settled on land adjoining his father's farm in Lynn Village; was admitted a freeman October 15, 1679; was one of the leading citizens of the town; ensign of military company 1689, lietenant 1684; was one of committee of three appointed 1679 to build a new meeting house; was appointed by the general court on committee to settle disputes as to boundaries between Woburn and Reading; was for seven years deputy from Reading in the general court. In 1707 Captain John Brown and Lieutenant Hananiah Parker were chosen to provide a school master for the town school, eand hired John Webb. His will was dated May 20, 1703.1

  • Hananiah married Elizabeth Brown on September 30, 1663 in Reading, Massachusetts.3
  • Hananiah married Mary Barsham on December 12, 1700 as his second wife, and her second husband.4
  • Hananiah died on March 10, 1723/24 in Reading, Massachusetts, aged about 86 yrs.5
