Nathan Goodwin1

  • Nathan Goodwin was born in 1716 in Amesbury, Massachusetts.1
  • He was the son of Richard Goodwin and Esther Hadley.1
  • Nathan married Rhoda Colby, daughter of Timothy Colby and Hannah Heath, as his first wife, and had seven children.2
  • Richard Goodwin and son Nathan were in Amesbury Peak, fourteen miles from South Hampton, eight miles from Kingston, and lived near each other, in 1743.1
  • Nathan married Mary Smith, as his second wife.1
  • He was received a member of the church, by letter from North Parish church, June 3, 1752. He resided where Mr. Charles Shannon had his summer home at East Hampstead in 1899.1

Richard Goodwin

  • Richard Goodwin was born in 1683 or 1684.1
  • Richard married on January 6, 1701.2
  • Richard Goodwin and son Nathan were in Amesbury Peak, fourteen miles from South Hampton, eight miles from Kingston, and lived near each other, in 1743.1
  • Richard died in March, 1768 in Hampstead, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, aged 84, called " old Mr. Goodwin " on the records.1
