- Martha Sawyer was born on February 17, 1706 daughter of Samuel and Abigail Sawyer.2
- Martha married Edmund Hale, son of Henry Hale and Sarah Kelly, on May 16, 1728.1
- In 1734, Martha Sawyer and Edmund Hale moved to Haverhill, Massachusetts, along with Joseph Hale, Edmund Hale and Sarah Hale. This land was set off by running of new State line into Plaistow, N. H. in 1741, and again set off into Atkinson on formation of that town.3
