Dennis Crampton1

b. about 1630, d. January 31, 1689/90
  • Dennis Crampton was born about 1630 in England. He probably immigrated when he was young and was an indentured servant or "bond boy" as he took the Freemen's Oath later in life. In his younger days he seemed to be in trouble with the law from time to time. He was arrested and whipped for slander and horse stealing. He eventually became a prosperous plantation owner.2
  • Dennis married Mary Parmelee, daughter of John Parmelia and Hannah Wilbur, on September 16, 1660 in Guilford, Connecticut, as his first wife.2
  • Dennis married after March 16, 1667 in Guilford, Connecticut, to Sarah Hall, widow of Nicholas Munger, as his second wife. They had three children by this marriage.2
  • Dennis married after 1675 to Frances, as his third wife. Apparently had no children.2
  • Dennis died on January 31, 1689/90 in Guilford, Connecticut.2
