  • He was the son of Elijah Sullivan Wheeler Colby and Elizabeth Wells.

    Elizabeth Colby, 38;
    living at Wayland, Allegan County, Michigan.1

  • The census of 1880 shows: Samuel Edwin Colby, Samuel was a servant living with living with John H. Sweezy's family;
    living at Monterey, Allegan County, Michigan.2
