Williby Colby lived the north side of Bow Bog Road a short distance easterly of Parsons Brook crossing. (Just east of the Allen Road intersection) They later lived on the southeast corner of the Johnson Road / Route 3A intersection.
He was born on April 2, 1795 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.³
He was the son of James Colby and Susannah Stewart.^1,2
In 1812 Williby Colby went to the defense of Portsmouth.⁴
Williby married Betsy Morgan on November 18, 1818 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.⁵
Williby married Betsey Wheeler, daughter of Lydia Cheney, about 1826 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.⁶
The census of 1850 shows: Willoughby Colby, 53, a farmer with $2,000 real estate; and Betsey Colby, 48; listed with Lucinda Colby, Amos Colby, Irad Colby, Willoughby Colby Jr. and Betsey Colby
living at Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.⁷
The census of 1860 shows: Willoughby Colby, 61, a farmer with $2000 real estate and $500 personal estate; and Betsy Colby, 57; listed with Ired Colby and Betsy M. Colby
living at Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.⁸
The census of 1870 shows: Willowby Colby, 75, without occupation, with $2000 real estate and $650 personal estate; and Betsey Colby, 68, without occupation; listed with Irad Colby, Aruba Colby, Georgia Colby, Anna Colby and Amos Colby
living at Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.
Not listed in the family was Hamilton Morgan Parker, illeged son of Irad and Azubia. Instead, Anna is listed, listed as being the same age as Hamilton.⁹
Williby died on July 19, 1877 in Bow, New Hampshire, at age 82. He was a farmer.¹⁰
He was buried in Alexander Cemetery, Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, along with Betsey M. Morgan.¹¹

Zebediah A. Colby was born on May 4, 1810 in Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.¹
He was the son of Abraham Colby and Deborah Austin.²
Zebediah married Mary Hicks.²
His whereabouts were not known for several years, until 1888, when he returned for a short time, then disappeared.²
