- Thomas Wheeler was born on August 14, 1696 in Concord, Massachusetts, son of Thomas and Sarah (Davis) Wheeler.1
- Thomas Wheeler was a lieutenant and deacon.1
- Thomas married Mary Brooks, daughter of Daniel Brooks Jr. and Ann Meriam, as his first wife.1
- On December 13, 1722, Thomas Wheeler moved to Acton, then Concord, Massachusetts, after selling his lands in the old part of Concord. The town of Acton was formed in 1736, and he was the first town clerk, 1735-6, and at the same time was a member of the board of selectmen.1
- In 1739 or 1740, Thomas Wheeler moved to Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, and was selectman of Worcester 1743. '44, '45, '49, '51, and '52. He was deacon of the first church (Old South) from 14 jan 1748 until his death. His home in Worcester was on the road to Leicester near the line.1
- Thomas married as his second wife, Susannah ---?---, who died in Worcester on 23 Sep 1780, age fifty-eight.1
- About 1762, Thomas Wheeler moved to Hardwick, Massachusetts, where three of his sons had settled.1
