  • Barbara Claire Cahoon was born about April, 1919 in New London, Connecticut., graduated from schools in Manchester, Conn., and attended St. Joseph College in West Hartford, Conn. She was employed by Pratt Whitney in East Hartford, then moved to Cape Cod in 1972, where she worked at Mid-Cape Center in Orleans for 25 years. She was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader, enjoyed hiking and camping, and traveled through many parts of the United States, as well as in Europe. She was a member of the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Harwich Port.2,3
  • She was the daughter of Harry Selwyn Cahoon and Myrtle Jane Worthington.2
  • Barbara married Paul E. Carlson.3
  • Barbara died on December 4, 2003 in Chatham, Massachusetts, at her home after a brief illness.3
