- Caleb married Mary Tyler, daughter of Moses Tyler and Ruth Perley, on October 1, 1728.1
- Mention is made in Essex Institute Collection, 6: 188, of a Caleb Cogswell who was at the siege of Louisburg, 15 and 16 Jul 1745.1

- Margaret Cogswell was born perhaps 1701.
- Margaret married Amos Perley, son of Thomas Perley and Abigail Towne, on March 1, 1721/22, at which time he chose his home where his father's and grandfather's had been, on a knoll at the right of the lane leading to "ye Great Meadowe." He was a prominent citizen of the town and the parish. He was a selectman 1746, a constable 1738, a juror in 1737, an overseer of the poor 1746, a surveyor of highways 1737 and 1745. For 1752 and for several years following, he was clerk of the First Parish. He joined the First Church 7 Jan 1727; he bought pew No. 11, 17 Sep 1745; his "servant Jane" was baptised 7 Apr 1745.2
- Margaret married on October 11, 1759 Lt. Mark How of Ipswich, son of Abraham and Sarah (Peabody) How. Deacon Mark Howe died 17 Feb 1770.1
