  • Was named as executor and residuary legatee and devisee in his father's will, dated 21 Oct 1762, and proved 29 July, 1771.3

  • On 26 Nov 1770, Stephen Hale and wife Elizabeth of Newbury, and Richard Hale and wife Sarah, and Benjamin Gage, conveyed to Daniel Dole of Newbury 12 rods of land with buildings on Chandler's lane or King street, 48 feet (131: 128).3
  • On 13 Aug 1771, Stephen Hale of Newbury, weaver, conveyed to Moses Hale of Newburyport, mariner, a strip of ½ a. whole length of grantor's land on Rolfe's lane (129: 109).3
  • On 26 Dec 1772, Stephen Hale of Newbury, "fisherman," with mother Mary Hale, widow, and wife Elizabeth, conveyed to Patrick Tracy of Newburyport 1¼ a. and 3 rods on Rolfe's lane in Newbury, adjoining Moses Hale and Moses Pettengill (131: 21).
